This work, which is very attractive from collector’s point of view, represents the current stage of the work of the talented and sought-after artist, Adam Štech, a graduate of Studios of Jiří Sopek and Vladimír Skrepl at the Prague Academy. The author’s artistic attitude shows a conscious inspiration, but also a certain confrontation, with modernist artistic movements and -isms, which he transforms into a distinctive language of his own. From his paintings, we feel respect for so many proven and experienced techniques, but also a desire to bring these into new contexts. Štech’s works are immensely technically advanced and at the same time based on a sort of dialogue between the past and the present. The presented work will certainly attract attention with its material, sophisticated mosaic technique, and original author’s instalment. This artwork is a donation from the author. 50% of the proceeds from this artwork will be credited to the account of the Bátor Tábor Foundation and will be fully exempt from auction fees.
