The pre-auction exhibition for KODL Gallery's  93rd Spring Auction showcases 217 top works of art from the 18th century to the present day.

The oldest piece, representing 18th-century painting, is the charming genre scene Landscape with Villagers by Norbert Grund. In the collection of Old Masters, we then encounter works by 19th-century landscape painters such as August Bedřich PiepenhagenJosef Navrátil, and Maximilian Haushofer, whose name is represented by the rare landscape Christmas Eve. The exhibition also features works by representatives of the National Theatre generation, including Václav BrožíkJakub Schikaneder, and Vojtěch Hynais, whose portrait Lady with a Fan reminds us not only of his famous National Theatre curtain but also of his outstanding talent as a portrait artist. The conclusion of the so-called long century is represented by works from the Mařák School pupils František KavánOta Bubeníček, and newly discovered paintings by Otakar Lebeda. The transition into the 20th century is also marked by works from Oldřich Blažíček and Václav Radimský, a leading figure of impressionist landscape painting. An exceptional gallery-quality piece is Okořský potok in Spring by Antonín Hudeček.

The early 20th century is represented by cubist still lifes by Emil FillaAntonín Procházka, and Josef Čapek.
Among the exhibited works is the long-lost painting Blooming Meadow by Josef Čapek, returning to the Czech Republic after almost 90 years. The rural poetry and the world of childhood are further captured in the works of Josef Lada and Kamil Lhoták. Post-World War II painting is represented, among others, by Orchid by Mikuláš Medek, originating from the estate of Dr. Alice Masaryková, as well as mythologically inspired and spiritually symbolic works by Josef Šíma, such as AntaiosCrystals, and Orphean Motif. Postwar abstraction is further illustrated by works from Jan KotíkRobert Piesen, and pioneer of structural abstraction Zdeněk Sýkora. A different aspect of postwar art is presented through the landscapes of Vlastimil Beneš and Bohdan Kopecký.

The auction collection concludes with works by contemporary artists including Jan KalábJiří ČernickýVladimír HoudekJaroslav RónaMAATTY, and photographer Alžběta Jungrová. A special highlight is a group of six works created around the common theme of "time" by Josef BolfMichael RittsteinMartin KrajcRony PleslJakub Tomáš, and Anna Neborová, which will be auctioned in support of the Prague Spring Festival.  These artworks (lots 10–15) will not be exhibited at the KODL Gallery; instead, they will be on view during the Prague Spring 2025 concerts at the Rudolfinum (in the Dvořák Hall foyer) and at the Municipal House (Rieger Hall).
